Zeta Amicae of Florissant, Missouri

As early as 1940, chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated realized the importance of having cooperation from women that demonstrated prestige and good will. Under the administration of Soror Lullelia Harrison, the first Zeta Amicae auxiliary was chartered in Houston, Texas in 1948 - making Zeta the first sorority in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) to organize an auxiliary group.

Zeta Amicae auxiliaries are affiliated through local Zeta graduate chapters, and consist of women who have not obtained a Bachelor's Degree, but have an unyielding passion for assisting their community and addressing the needs of their people. These women

believe in the ideals of Zeta and have a desire to continue fostering a friendship maintained for over 75 years.

The purpose of the Zeta Amicae is to make non-Greek women feel closer to the ideals of Greekdom, while ensuring community involvement through various aspects, including serving and empowering their community. Although the Zeta Amicae are not members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated there is an undeniable bond and appreciation shown to all.

Friend Kristina Brandy, with the assistance of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Phi Nu Zeta chapter, was instrumental in leading the charge to establish an auxiliary that aligns with the mission of Phi Nu Zeta. After a prolonged process, the Zeta Amicae

of Florissant, Missouri Auxiliary was finally chartered on December 13, 2020 by five zealous women: Danielle Bennett, Stephanie Esaw, Tiffany Harris, Miasha Shannon and Quenicha Thomas.

Since inception, the auxiliary has diligently partnered with their “PHInatic Friends” to remain civically engaged within the areas of Florissant, Missouri and Saint Louis Metropolitan to ensure the betterment of their community - truly exemplifying the organization’s mission “to make a difference in the lives of others through service, Amicae & Zetas, hand in hand working together, a cultivation of “friendship for life.”
